Nouvelle Comèdie de Genéve

Starting from FRES ARCHITECTS project and thanks to the collaboration with LAMM, the work involved the preparation of the main hall (“Grande Salle”) for which an ad hoc armchair was created: compact, with sides on the ground and folding seats equipped with shock absorbers for silent closing and a muffled rebound. Of the 498 seats, marked with seat and row numbering embroidered in fabric, 325 are fixed while 173 are removable when needed. Of the latter, 97 are completely removable: seats and backrests are easily removed thanks to an interlocking system that does not require the use of any tools. The remaining 76 can be easily removed and transported out of the room in groups of two or three.
